Education

I started my schooling at Karuri Primary school and then joined Kijabe High school. I finished my O-levels at Magumu Secondary with a B+ aggregate. I didn't proceed to University due to financial problems.
I hustled in the village doing odd jobs here and there in farms, homes and construction sites. After some time I trained in carpentry and used it to earn my daily bread for 6 good years before abandoning it and joining the world of computers.
Martin with government and church leaders.
I joined a computer college, trained and qualified in computer graphics, music and video production.

In 2009 I advanced my computer knowledge by learning computer programming and web design attaining a Diploma in the same.
All this time I was also giving up my free time to voluntary community work by involving myself in things like communal cleanups, visiting the sick and agitating for peoples rights. I used to liaise with local government leaders, church leaders and Non-governmental Organizations that I came across as I sought help for vulnerable children and less fortunate members of our community. In this process, I got the luck of being sponsored for a number of community development courses which included, Trainer of Trainers in HIV/AIDS, guidance and counseling, home based care, Child protection, peer education, resource mobilization, group dynamics, proposal writing, conflict management, project implementation and leadership skills. Am a holder of all these short course certificates.

This interaction with community won be recognition and popularity and in 2013 I decided to try my luck in elective office where I would have full authority to work towards the welfare of my people. I was effortlessly elected a member of County Assembly in the Kiambu County Assembly representing Karuri Ward.

My hobbies include reading, exploration and participating in activities of mercy. I also like acting and shooting movies.

Am currently pursuing a Degree course in Public Administration and Governance at Mount Kenya University.

My greatest satisfaction comes from serving vulnerable children and the less fortunate which I accord over half of my time and energies..
